Siebel eScript intellisense

Hi,
Siebel Tools was not designed to make eScript development too easy.
While I was working on the OOP Framework I needed something more sophisticated than what Siebel proposed.
I’ve made some checks and found 2 free tools that helped me a lot: eclipse and komodo edit.
Each of them have different pros and cons – but I won’t discuss that this time. Instead I will share some simple library that can help you with intellisense in both of the environments.

Here are steps to make use of library (siebel_inside.zip) in both tools:
1. common for both of the tools – but maybe not the best way of doing (I think it is creating some mess in the project)
just put the siebel_inside.js file in your project, the editors should parse it like it was regular project member

2. Komodo Edit (http://www.activestate.com/komodo-edit)
a) put the siebel_inside.js file into some directory outside of the project
b) add this directory in Project’s properties -> Project Preferences -> Languages -> Javascript -> Javascript Directories
komodo_project

3. Eclipse (https://www.eclipse.org/)
a) put the siebel_inside.js file into some directory outside of the project
b) create User Library in Eclipse Prefrences -> JavaScript->Include Path->User Libraries
c) add siebel_inside.js fileuser_library
d) in project’s properties add this new library to JavaScript->Include Path->Libraries
javascript_project

Now you should be able to utilize power of intellisense everywhere you need it 😉
